Some of the new 2019 Lego sets have finally been unveiled and according to the pictures that are surfing in the net, some of them are already available on shelves. For now it is possible to have a look to some city and creator sets, which, with the exception of one or two, I must say didn’t excite me at all.
City show the traditional new round of Fire sets as well as some new great vehicles boxes , with the biggest until the moment, the Downtown Fire Brigade (60126) to ensure all the attention . In terms of creator nothing to much appealing, just five 3*1 sets but I’m sure than soon well some much more not only from these themes but also from the rest.
The Pickup & Caravan is a new Lego City set that will be available in the beginning of 2018. With three hundred and forty four pieces, it is a sort of update of the 2016 model (60117 – Van and Caravan) and absolutely with better results. This new set features a nice red pickup, a big caravan and three mini-figures (a family of three with a couple and a kid) with plenty of assorted accessories.
Having a look at the van, it’s impossible not to say in the first moment that it won’t handle with the caravan. It looks sturdy, powerful and with a nice design. The cockpit is large but has no side doors, the roof detaches easily and at the back, the trunk is transformed to receive the attach mechanism of the big caravan.
The Bus Station is a new City set that will be available on retail next summer. With around four hundred pieces, it shows some pretty nice elements that will certainly fit on every city corner and of course a new City Bus with new features to enjoy.
Besides the Bus, the set includes a news stand with a garbage can nearby, a Bus stop, a street lamp, a dog, a couple of bicycles and six mini-figures (that’s surely a great quantity for a medium size set) with assorted accessories: the bus driver, the news stand seller, a couple of boys, girl in a wheel chair (recently released by Lego) and a Bus passenger.
2017 Nuremberg Toy Fair, in Germany, has just started and with it a lot of information about new Lego set is gradually surfing in the Internet, particularly, my Favorite Lego theme, City, that immediately caught my attention, with some awesome news to show.
Promobricks has done a great photo report where is possible to see the return of the Cost Guard subtheme (that includes among other a coast guard Headquarters and a Sea rescue Plane), the Jungle Family (with lots of heavy vehicles and the Jungle Exploration Site as the head set), the new Bus Station, the Fun at beach, a set with plenty of mini-figures just like the Fun in the Park (60314), and finally for now the new Cargo Terminal. That’s definitely a lot to enjoy! Have a look at Continue reading →
The ATV Race Team is a 2017 City set with two hundred and thirty nine pieces that features a cool truck with a trailer, a couple of race All Terrain Vehicles, and two racing pilots with assorted accessories, that includes a small fuel tank, a spare wheel and some tools to fix the malfunctions.
The concept and the vehicles aren’t properly new but together, I think that they make a really nice set with lots of options to play with. The sturdy truck is similar to other city models and shows a nice color scheme with some additional stickers.
