Probably, you’ve have already seen these alternative models of the original teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets surfing in the internet, but if not, take a look at them because in my opinion they are not only solid and interesting models but most of all some of them are even better or prettier than the original.
With the exception of the Turtle Lair Attack (79103), all the rest present an interesting model to build. The smallest Kraang Lab Escape (79100) is now transformed in a new little hovercraft, made only with forty two pieces. The pizza at the front and the two small speedometers are really pretty nice.
The Shredder’s Dragon Bike (79101) can be rebuilt, with eighty four pieces, into a strange vehicle with a long black nose with a couple of big spoked wheels. Continuing, the Stealth Shell in Pursuit (79102) can easily be upgraded into a better and detailed tricycle keeping the same wheels but improving the chassis or even the access to the driving position.
The bigger and strange Sheel Raser street chase (79104) is definitely better in this alternative model. The tall and square vehicle gave place to a nice sort of long racing vehicle, which is in my opinion much prettier that the original model. Finally the big Baxter Robot (79105) can now be a small vehicle, with all the shapes of a scorpion, keeping a bunch of interesting features such as the flick fire missiles and the long tail at the back.
