The NASA Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover will be the next set out from the Cuusoo Project. With exactly two hundred and ninety five pieces, it features a big lunar vehicle with three wheel axles and a bunch of great stuff to play with in space environment.
The final version of this great Curiosity Rover was proposed to contest in 2011 and reached the necessaries ten thousand votes to achieve the review phase in August 2012 and gladly will start to retail in the beginning of the year with a price around thirty dollars.
I don’t know if I’ll ever pass through it in a store nearby, but if I do I’ll definitely regret myself if I don’t bring it! The main features of this huge vehicle are clearly resumed in here:
This LEGO version of the highly advanced mobile laboratory features lots of great details, such as 6-wheel rocker-bogie suspension, articulated robotic arm and multiple camera sets, plus a display plate complete with LEGO brick Martian rocks – perfect for testing out the rover’s go-anywhere suspension! Similar to other LEGO CUUSOO sets, the building instruction booklet also includes background information about the fan builder, the history of Mars exploration, and the real Curiosity Rover.
Please have a look at Cuusoo Blog where an extensive post with the rest of all the information and participants’ reaction has been published.
