The Pig Farm and the Tractor is a 2010’s set that gives the town a rustic look. For that is surely a nice addition. Hard to find in the stores, It has more the two hundred and fifty pieces, two mini-figures (a couple of farmers), four pigs, an enormous quantity of tools and accessories and of course a tractor and its trailer.
Staring by this one, it has more technical pieces then it would be expectable. Starting by the base which has two long pieces. The cab is raised and has a steering whell and a decent seat. At the front, there is the engine with some dark gray parts representing the engine’s grilles. The wheel arches also intend to protect the driver in case of accident. The wheels are also big, and the rear axis’ attachment is different than the usual city vehicles because it uses a long and thin piece instead of the common method, like the front axis for instance. The cabin is all made of glass (through two windshields) and has no kind of door so whenever you want to access the cab you will have to remove the roof. Generally the final result of this vehicle is quite realistic. The trailer is also very realistic. It has a simple structure with a double axis and is very easy and fast to build. Before the bed properly, it is also necessary to start attaching some tipper mechanism’s pieces. The bed is long with some red side doors that can all be lowered in case of need. At the back, a gray longer door can lower in order to load the animals. The little farm is also very cute. First of all it has plenty of color. It has fences all around and plenty of nice and realistic features: two feeders for the animals which have carrots among other food, a fountain at the back and even a shelter in case of storm. But in this case the pigs will have to gamble because there is not enough room for everyone. This is a nice and very colored farm set for about 35 dollars in retail. Children will love it specially the small animals. If necessary, the instructions can be found in Lego’s web site:
