Lego has finally published the official images of the new Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters. This fantastic building was already known for a while, even the official version, but its interior and all the bunch of features and details were still a mystery. Until now…
The set is perhaps one the biggest that Lego produced in the last years and will bring exactly four thousand and six hundred and thirty four pieces (I can’t imagine this in terms of building experience…) that besides the building will also include nine mini-figures (Winston Zeddemore, Janine Melnitz, Dana Barrett,Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler, Louis Tully, Library Ghost and Zombie Driver) and three ghosts (Slimer, Pink Ghost and Blue Ghost).
Inside, it is possible to discover three floors and a lot of stuff to enjoy. One of the walls can be easily opened in order to get full access to the interior and once here… well… I must admit that I can’t choose my favorite part, everything is awesome.
Through the different floors (that are gladly connected with stairs) and rooms it is possible to find all the iconic parts that used to appear in the series: the living quarters, the laboratory, the containment unit as well as a nice pool table, a small bathroom, the lockers in the ground floor and even the big emergency pipe, in the corner.
Fortunately there will be space inside for Ecto-1, even if we attempt to the way that the black gate opens (to the inside) and with a bit of patience it is possible to move back a little all that brown furniture in order for the car to get in more easily. As it concerns to the other divisions, I think that the images speak for themselves, everything is fully equipped with lot of nice details everywhere.
The outside was already known but it is now possible to see clearly the amazing walls with two different colors, plenty of emergency ladders and a lot of bricks. There is also lots of glass everywhere and in the flat side walk there is a bit street lamp and a garbage can that I’m sure that will be perfect for the ghosts.
Overall, this fantastic set is a must and I only regret the fact that it is not possible to join it to other modular buildings. It’s not cheap (it should retail around the three hundred and fifty dollars), of course, but we must not forget its amazing size. The set will be available in the begging of January.
