In a time when hot weather rules, it’s definitely very nice to see some pictures of this new Artic Mobile Exploration Base. It’s the biggest of this city sub theme, presenting almost eight hundred pieces and featuring plenty of orange vehicles,  mini-figures to enjoy and of course the big mammoth.

Among the action, there’s plenty to choose from: A truck with a big saw, a big crane vehicle with a large cabin and six extra-large wheels, ready to surpass any obstacle, a mobile lab with some tools inside and a door for a better access and finally a big snow bike that absolutely looks fast.

Beyond that, there’s a new ice structure to hold the captures mammoth which is surely a great addition to the theme. In terms of mini-figures, there are six explorers , four of them are workers, one is the leader and finally there is a driver. Best of all, it’s already available on general retail, for around eighty bucks, just like the rest of the theme which according to the piece count seems fair.

Use the crane to set up the mobile arctic base camp before you excavate the mammoth.

Lower the saw arm to cut into the ice and free the mammoth.

Hook the crane onto the ice block and load it onto the trailer to haul back to base.

Analyze different findings at the site in the mobile lab before you head to base camp.
