This set is surely one of the best of this theme. With more than five hundred pieces, it combines versatility of the proposed ideas in the manual instructions, creativity by the fact that with such a bunch of different pieces it is rather interesting and motivating to build new models and best of all it’s with this kind of sets that kids really start to learn the true meaning of building Lego.
This brick set proposes simple but interesting models besides the always useful mini-figures (two in this case): for instance there is a nice tow truck, not as small as I would expect in this set, it is six dots width, that is the same of the average city trucks, its wheels are even bigger than the average size and at the back it has a nice winch the competently tows small vehicles. The set is basically composed by vehicles: the small blue jeep has a raised chassis and a spare wheel at the back, there is a nice yellow convertible with a engine’s hood that easily opens which is a detail that rarely exists on the city vehicles, a small but cleverly designed green ATV and for all of them lots of different tools and a small workshop.
The workshop has a nice elevator for the vehicles a sliding bed to the mechanic, in order to work below the vehicles and even a little supporting car with tools for the workers. Besides the standard models that are present in the set box the manual instructions also suggest a nice formula 1 car, a nice buggy, and a small truck with a trailer and all the capability to tow a vehicle on it.
All this versatility plus all the models that float in the kids’ imagination for only thirty dollars surely look like an excellent deal and a nice gift for Christmas. If necessary the instructions can easily be found right here:
