The new Lego Ideas, the Old Fishing Store has been officially presented. This set is definitely very big, one of the biggest ideas set for sure, featuring two thousand and forty nine pieces and a lot of great elements to enjoy.
As you can see through the set box pictures, which absolutely unusual and beautiful, the old fishing store has a two floor house with a tall tower and a small harbor next to it, four mini-figures, a considerable number of animals (a cat, three seagull and a crab), two boxes with tools and accessories and a lot of seashore elements all around the store.
The building presents a great color scheme, mixing green with several shades of brown, reproducing perfectly the old boards corroded by the sea. Besides the endless number of details, the back wall has also the possibility of being opened, giving access to the interior which absolutely increases the playability.
The tower and the big roof are also detachable, just like in modular buildings, allowing to access once again to all the inside features where it’s possible to find a small costumer area in the first floor, with a cash dispenser, a few tools and lots of different areas to store the fishing material.
Overall it’s absolutely a must. The beauty of this building is huge, the mini-figures are pretty accurate and represent quite well the seaside spirit and best of all, the price seems quite appellative: hundred and fifty dollars for this set looks a pretty decent deal. Walk up the steps from the beach into the shop selling fishing rods, hooks, harpoons, diving equipment, oxygen tanks and much more. Climb the ladder to the top of the watchtower and look through the telescope to enjoy the view. Then relax and read the newspaper in the office. Just make sure the cat or seagulls don’t eat the freshly caught fish hanging outside!
