The Tower of Orthanc is a new Lord of The Rings set that will be released next July. It has two thousand three hundred and fifty nice pieces and it’s probably the most complex and detailed set of the Lego’ summer wave. It has besides the tall tower (it measures exactly seventy three centimeters), the treebeard, an eagle and five mini-figures: Saruman, Gríma Wormtongue, Gandalf the Grey, Uruk-hai and Mordor Orc.
Built almost with black pieces, seen from the front, it is amazingly detailed with multiple types of bricks since the little ones, passing through the long and sharp ones. At the back, it rests most of the playability.
It has seven different levels that include a big library, an alchemy room, a creepy dungeon, the entrance wall, an attic and obviously the Saruman’s throne. Besides all this tremendous variety of environments, the five mini-figures have also at their disposal a bunch of different tools and weapons namely staffs, knifs, swords, shields and axes.
The Treebeard looks like a Mech made of wood. It is rather tall, even when compared with the tower and besides all the bunch of bruchces, it has a few techniques used for instance on the Hero Factory Mechs or even in Ninjago’s. Talking about the worst part, two hundred dollars is almost unreachable… Will it worth it?
