Here is a good set for the fans who like to achieve some new lone ranger mini-figures or even plan to add extra elements to bigger Ranger sets. The Cavalry Builder set is a new set, planned to be on stores next summer, with only sixty nine pieces but gladly with plenty of interesting stuff.
Starting with the four mini-figures which look really great. Besides the Lone Ranger (I guess that this guy is present on every sets, which is a bit boring because if you buy a couple of Lone Ranger sets you’ll get repeated mini-figures) the set has also three nice Cavalry soldiers with blue uniforms and big rifles.
The quantity of features that this set has is quite interesting Continue reading
The Silver Mine Shootout is the second biggest set of the Lone Rangers. It has six hundred and forty four pieces that are mostly for the big silver mine and all its features, and five new mini-figures: the Lone Ranger, Tonto, Kyle, the Chief Big Beak and Butch Cavendish.
Made with a great color combination of light grey and brown pieces, the silver mine is rather big (comparatively it has the height of a two floor building) and has a sharp look typical of the hills randomly excavated. The wood structure is also very nice and is perfectly integrated in the landing part.
The features are almost endless, this is perhaps one the greatest summer sets in terms of Continue reading
The Comanche Camp is a new Lone Ranger’s set that will be on stores next summer. With hundred and sixty one pieces, it has a big wigwam, a brown canoe, a small hill made with rocks and a big hole with lots of scorpions, and three great mini-figures which are the lone ranger, Tonto and Red Knee.
Although it is not one of my favorites of this theme, most of all because of its small playability, I must admit that it has a few interesting and different features, starting with the big Indian tent, or wigwam, which is definitely unusual. With a structure that is basically a couple of crossed stakes, made with technic pieces, all its coating is arranged with animal skin with plenty of different painting. It looks very nice indeed.
Inside, we can easily see through the pictures that there is space Continue reading
Being planned to be on stores next April, finally we can have a deep look at the first official pictures about all the sets of this first wave of the Lone Ranger Theme. Despite some of its details are already known, most of all, thanks to the last Toy Fair event, it is always great to see some new pictures and with a better resolution of the new sets.
As it concerns with my expectations, the Colby City showdown looks a good set to add a couple of new and different building to my city and the Constitution Train looks definitely a very accurate machine. What a pity that it’s not powered!
The retail prices, compared with other themes are clearly inflated Continue reading
The Stage Coach escape is another new Lone Ranger Set and probably one of the most detailed of this first (I surely hope that there will be a second…) wave of sets, It has, besides the Stage Coach, three horses (two blacks and a brown) and five mini-figures that are Tonto, the Lone Ranger, a couple of bandits and Red Harrington, a female mini-figure with what it looks a peg leg.
It’s easy to imagine, through the set box that this set represent a scene where a couple a bandits try to steal a safe box that is being transported in the stage coach. Starting by the top, the coach transports a green safe box and will be defeated by the Lone Range, Tonto and even by Red. Yes, all these guys have pistols and knifes, and one of the cowboys has even a shotgun.
The base or chassis of the wagon is made not only with long bricks Continue reading
