Daily Mirror Polybag Promotion in September

Brick fanatics has mentioned that Daily Mirror will have a new Polybag Promotion in September from 20th till 27th. The list features eight sets from different themes (city, star wars, Chima and Lego movie) and constitutes a nice opportunity for the British fans to get their hands on some really nice polybags.

It seems like the other times, there will be a different polybag on each day and all that is necessary will be buying the news paper, get the token and go to store. The only doubt for now is the retail’s availability, namely in Toysrus.

Have a look at the list:

Lego 79117 – Turtle Lair Invasion

The Turtle Lair Invasion is a big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Set that will be available on retail next Summer. With almost nine hundred pieces, it brings six mini-figures (Splinter, Donatello, Shredder, Leonardo and a couple of Foot Soldiers), the big turtle lair, constituted by three distinct elements, attached to each other, a motorcycle and lots of small accessories such as the skates, the pizzas or even the bunch of assorted weapons for all of them.

All the three parts have some really nice features to play with and I guess that at the first glance, it’s almost impossible not to look at the big brown slide which passes through the three different levels.

In the base, it is possible to see a control room Continue reading

Lego 79116 – Big Rig Snow Gateway

This is perhaps, in my opinion, the most interesting of the Summer wave of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle sets. It is considerably big with exactly seven hundred and forty three pieces and brings two great vehicles, a big truck and a SUV, six mini-figures and plenty of nice accessories to make a road battle.

The images leaves no doubt, just like most of the others, this set will bring plenty of fight and action and for that, the two Ninja Turtles, Raphael and Leonardo, together with April O’Neil in a big grey truck will try to run from the two foot soldiers and Karai, which have at their disposal a really nice black SUV filled with really nice details.

Having a look at the truck, I think that the first thing that come to our minds is the multiple City Mobile Police stations Continue reading

Lego 79115 – Turtle Van Takedown

The Turtle Van Takedown is a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set that is based on the Michael Bay TMNT movie and represents a scene where a Foot Soldier barricades the road using a blocking gate. The action doesn’t end here because Vern and Raphael are attempting to save Michael Angelo from the arms of a small mechanical structure!

As you might have guessed already, the set will contain four mini-figures, the big (almost…) cubic Turtle Van, a really nice street barrier, a small arresting structure and a bunch of assorted weapons for each one of the characters among a total of exactly three hundred and sixty eight pieces.

Starting by the accessories, the road gate Continue reading

Lego 79122 – Shredders’ Lair Rescue

The Shredders’ Lair Recue is a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that recently has hit stores. With almost five hundred pieces that puts it in a price level around the sixty dollars, it features the Shredders’ Lair, a structure with two levels, a small but cool yellow aircraft for the turtles, and five mini-figures: two Ninja turtles (Michelangelo and Raphael), Shredder, a foot soldier and a Robo Foot Ninja.

Besides it, the set brings also a couple of additional accessories such as a couple of brown racks for the weapons (some of them are golden which look definitely great) and a small but nice flipper which will easily throw the figures.

The lair is a middle size structure Continue reading
