Lego 75902 – The Mystery Machine

The Mystery Machine is a new Scooby Doo set that will be released next august. It has exactly three hundred and one pieces and features the most known van of Scooby Doo cartoons, called the mystery machine, four mini-figures (Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Fred and Zombie) with a couple of accessories that include a big sandwich for Scooby, a newspaper and a glass, and an haunted tree.

The first look takes me to hours and hours of good time passed in front of the TV, watching Scooby and its friends. The Van is definitely pretty well recreated and it brings a lot of stuff to play with.

The color scheme couldn’t be better Continue reading

Lego 75903 – Haunted Lighthouse

The Haunted Lighthouse is a new Scooby Doo set that will hit stores in a couple of months. And it’s definitely a pretty nice box featuring a lighthouse built over an island, a small green boat, five mini-figures (Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Daphne, Swamp Monster and Lighthouse Keeper) and a considerable number of additional accessories such as a delicious burger for Scooby, a treasure chest, two golden keys and even a small map.

I like this new Haunted Lighthouse. It’s filed with tricks and features everywhere and it’s built over an interesting island with three different levels. Best of all, is absolutely the big skull on the left side which is perfectly sculpted and hides a small cave that is easily accessible just by opening the skull to the right side.

On the right, there is Continue reading

Lego 75900 – Mummy Museum Mystery

The Mummy Museum Mystery is a new Scooby Doo entry set that will hit stores next summer. It brings a bit more than hundred pieces and features a small sanctuary with a golden sarcophagus and three mini-figures (Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and a Mummy) with assorted accessories.

This set isn’t for obvious reasons, the best in terms of playability, however it looks quite pretty and definitely can be a good addition to other Scooby Doo bigger sets. And if there were any doubts, the mini-figures are also an extra reasons to enjoy it.

The Shrine is part of a Museum Continue reading

Lego 75091 – Mystery Plane Adventures

The Mystery Plane Adventures is a new Scooby doo set with less than two hundred pieces that will soon hit stores. It features a multicolored airplane with a few interesting features, three mini-figures (Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and the Headless Horseman) and a pretty white horse for the last one.

I must say that I like this plane. It’s not big which is good in terms of handling and playability, and just like so many other similar models, I like its old style. It looks extremely simple to build and uses a nice color scheme that mixes light green with bright blue and orange.

Scooby Doo and its mate Shaggy, Continue reading

Lego Scooby Doo – The first pics

Gradually, the first pics of the Scooby Doo sets have started surfing in the internet and a day after the Mystery Van (75902), we have the pleasure of seeing the head set of this theme, the Mystery Mansion (75904).

I’m quite excited with these two, not only because they brings back a lot of good memories but also because both sets seem pretty detailed and with a lot of stuff to enjoy. Scooby Doo itself looks very cool and worth for its own their purchase but the others are absolutely at the same level.

There are a few details of the van Continue reading
