More City, Speed Champions and Ninjago Sets

In addition to some previous images posted a few days ago let’s have a look to a second round of City sets, the Speed Champions set line and a few Ninjago sets. Until now, I must say that I didn’t see anything that really excite me at all.

City show us a few interesting news but for those who have plenty of city sets, they don’t add anything properly new. The Speed Champions seem more of the same with the exception of the Mini Cooper which seems quite interesting.

As always, the new sets Continue reading

Lego 60177 – Airshow Set

Let’s have a short look to a new cool 10 dollars city set, the Airshow Set. Eighty seven pieces, an aircraft with a few interesting details and good handling and a single mini-figure is all that we’ll find in a pretty but small box.

This high speed airplane despite being basic has a quite interesting design. The long nose presents a nice cockpit for the pilot with a large windshield (which opens widely) that covers the entire space and inside the pilot has the essential: a couple of handlers and a seat to maneuver the exhibition machine.

The landing gear has Continue reading

Lego 60180 – Monster Truck

The Monster Truck is a new City set that has been released recently. It’s a typical twenty dollars set, with around two hundred pieces that features a 4×4 Truck with an incredible suspension, a ramp built with plenty of small pieces for some nice jumps, a couple of barrels on fire and a single mini-figures, the truck’s pilot.

The truck looks absolutely cool in my opinion, even for those who aren’t so fan of these types of vehicles. With very big wheels and a high suspension built over a technic structure, the truck can smoothly surpass any obstacle thanks to its working mechanism and through the pictures it’s possible to see some small rubbers between the axles that control that extension feature.

On the top, there Continue reading

Lego 60178 – Speed Record Car

Here is a nice ten dollars set. The new Speed Record Car is a City set with only seventy eight pieces with a pretty color scheme and a mini-figure, the pilot, wearing a traditional Octan red and green suite with a big printed logo.

At the front, the long orange nose hides a tiny wheel but capable of reaching several hundred miles per hour. The cockpit is protected by a big aerodynamic windshield and inside the pilot has the usual: a seat (where is stays almost lying down…) and a steering wheel (better not to move it quickly).

At the back, two Continue reading

Lego City 2018 – More Sets

Here we go for some more City sets! Eleven new boxes have been revealed, showing a few more addition to the great vehicles subtheme, some new Mountain Police boxes and what it seems the return of the Mining subtheme with four pretty interesting sets.

At the first glance, it’s impossible not to look to the Mountain Police Headquarters that shows, among lots of great features, some unusual cages for animals but I must say that the mining sets are also really nice with plenty of great machines, action and playability. As it concerns to the other two high speed vehicles, they didn’t impress me too much.

Have a look at the Continue reading
