Here’s is another 2018 City set that has been unveiled last week. Definitely, it is not one of my favorites, but I must admit that is a good addition to a few previous Stunk trucks sets. With around two hundred pieces, this 4X4 truck shows also a nice ramp, two gas bottles with flames and a single mini-figure, the pilot, which is unfortunately a negative point in a twenty dollars set.
This beast has perhaps some of the largest wheels present in a City set, giving it, together with the suspension and impressive height. The suspension is clearly built with technic bricks and attaches to the rest of the structure in several points, giving the car a very sturdy look.
What a nice small City set. It shows color, playability and some interesting details to enjoy. This new Buggy has only eighty pieces and features only a red and white Dune Buggy with a single mini-figure, the pilot.
With some nice wheels, capable of surpassing any obstacle, this small Buggy looks absolutely sturdy. With the wheel axels placed on the edges, the front shows a couple of lights with stickers and a tow bar. The cockpit is quite large, according to the vehicle’s size and has no kind of doors or windshield, just a long protection bar which gladly opens widely, allowing a better access to the interior.
With all the credits going to hothbricks, a few more 2017 City sets have been unveiled. With the exception of a couple of them I must say that this new wave didn’t excite me too much. Too much trailers and too much déjà-vu. However the Pizza Van looks really nice as well as the Sweeper and Excavator.
The nine new sets contain a race plane (60144) a Buggy (60145), a Stunt Truck (60146), the already known fishing Boat (60147), an ATV Race Team (60148), the 4×4 with Catamaran (60149), A Pizza Van (60150), a Dragster Team (60151) and finally a Sweeper and Excavator (60152).
I usually enjoy these Traffic or Racing City sets, even when I don’t pretend to buy them, and this one surely follows the rule. It looks rather pretty with green and red, the color of Octan Racing, and it won’t be difficult to find a couple of interesting features to enjoy.
The new 4 x 4 Off Roader is a new City set with exactly hundred and seventy six pieces that will be responsible for the off road vehicle, a small cart with lots of tools, two mini-figures (the pilot and a mechanic), a small fuel tank and an island with the Octan flag with a scorpion nearby.
Lego has begun to upload images of the new 2016 sets that, according to the latest news, will be available not in January but, gladly, before Christmas. Among them, there are for now pictures of some of the new city sets.
Among these nine, that you can see below, I must say that I have different feelings about them. The Garbage Truck (60118) is for me a complete disappointment and not even that front mechanism convinced me at all. On the contrary the Ambulance Plane (60116) looks really cool and I’m sure that it will certainly be a must in terms of playability.
